Fanwood Rec Announces String Orchestra Program!

This 12-session program begins March 6, is taught by Orchestra Director at the Highland Park Public Schools and offers different levels of orchestral instruction in violin, viola, cello and bass. It’s open to everyone from 3rd graders to adults and concludes with a concert at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School auditorium. For more information, please click here.

Summer Tweens & Teens Travel Camp

Registration for this camp for children entering grades 6 through 9 in the fall will be announced soon. Keep checking this page and school e-bulletins for more information.

Summer Camps

Fanwood residents can begin registering Wednesday, February 18, 7 PM. Everyone can register beginning Thursday, February 19, 7 PM. To register (beginning on February 18th) click here. LaGrande Park Ice Skating Rink

Thursday, February 5: The Fanwood ice skating rink in LaGrande Park is closed until further notice due to poor surface conditions.

Fanwood Skateboard Park

The Fanwood Recreation Commission is planning to build a skateboard park within Forest Road Park. If you’d like to read more about it, please click here.

LaGrande and Forest Road Parks Field Status

The Fanwood Department of Public Works and the Fanwood Recreation Director determine if Fanwood’s athletic fields are unplayable due to wet conditions or maintenance requirements.
